cer Financial are excited to be working with a respected Lloyds Insurance Co based in London, who are looking for a Compliance Manager to join their team. This is a new role and the person will be expected to work as part of an experienced team and take on Compliance related projects, develop the frameworks and proved regulatory advice to internal and external stakeholders.  
 

The successful Compliance Manager responsibilities include:

  • Support and guide the Head of Risk and Compliance when delivering and implementing the compliance findings and recommendations
  • Monitor and report on the adherence of the business to the rules, procedures and systems and controls in place to confirm regulatory compliance
  • Review and advise the businesses on compliance issues
  • Understand the regulatory landscape drawing out the key regulation and legislation for each specialist area and identifying where the business is at risk
  • Work with the business to advance a suitable compliance framework and guidelines, which will enable the business in recognising, assessing and handling compliance risk within the business, meeting the standards set by the Holdings Company and meeting regulatory necessities. 
  • Deliver assistance, guidance and advice on compliance matters in mergers, procurements and strategic growth and development plans. This contains obligation for compliance assessments of new business opportunities such as the setup of overseas offices and sustaining licensing requirements and guaranteeing compliance risks are appropriately addressed
  • Offer advice Head of Risk and Compliance from a technical, knowledge and behavioural view

The successful Compliance Manager skills are:

  • Practice in presenting and discussing data in a logical, professional and objective style
  • Widespread compliance experience achieved within the FCA environment and the Lloyds market
  • Knowledge of International operations including the compliance aspects of setting up new overseas offices and licensing requirements
  • Understanding of the FCA’s Sourcebooks as applying to Insurance Intermediaries
  • Great IT skills - MS Office, flowcharting packages
