A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Credit Analyst to join Lloyds Banking Group in Leeds on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities of the Credit Analyst will include:

  • Conducts an independent credit assessment of lending proposals for a particular geographic region. 
  • Preparation of reports for presentation to sanctioning officials to enable informed decisions to be made - including the analysis of financial statements and the identification of key strengths, risks and mitigants. 
  • Reports may relate to annual renewals, new to bank lends, increases and amendments to existing facilities. 
  • Maintain responsibility for developing and retaining credit risk and industry sector expertise through both internal and external contacts with market participants, including due diligence and occasional customer visits. 
  • Liaise with Relationship Directors/Managers where necessary to shape proposals to balance risk/reward and to manage the process in a timely manner, in addition to supporting all new developments in Commercial Banking Credit Risk including development of risk systems, improved MI and other projects to ensure delivery of 'best in class' credit risk capability. 

The Successful Credit Analyst will have:

  • The ability to demonstrate strong credit/analytical skills based on in-depth knowledge of business fundamentals in addition to an understanding of lending products and services. 
  • Have a deep understanding of financial principles, with a finance or accounting qualification an advantage, but not a pre-requisite. 
  • Strong levels of attention to detail in analysis and presentation are required as well as demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and oral communications, including an ability to interact/negotiate with senior colleagues.
  • Strong credit/analytical skills based on in-depth knowledge of business fundamentals
