Our client a London/Ipswich based Insurance Firm are urgently seeking a Senior Auditor to join their team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities of the Senior Auditor will have: 

  • Lead the planning of Internal Audit Reviews through business engagement, developing and approving the audit scope, recognising key risks for each review and detailed fieldwork plans and time budgets for each review.
  • Chief the implementation of Internal Audit Reviews through assessing the suitability of control environments, risk management, control activities, information and communication, and observing in the areas under review.  
  • Identify evolving matters for consideration in reporting and to flag possibly serious issues to audit and business management as they arise.
  • To report on Internal Audit Reviews through drafting audit reports for review by audit and business management, agreeing management action plans and target dates and confirming all reported issues are evidenced in audit documentation.
  • To advance and preserve a strong understanding of GIA process and procedures and apply these in the accomplishment of audit reviews and to take a proactive role in the support and continual improvement of the audit tea

Successful Senior Auditor will have:

  • Degree and/or appropriate professional qualification (e.g. CIIA, ACA) and/or significant relevant audit, risk management, control or financial services qualification is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of project management principles
  • Substantial knowledge of the insurance industry and significant knowledge of audit, control or risk management. 
  • Sturdy networking and influencing skills
  • Good stakeholder management and relationship building abilities
