Purpose
cer Financial Ltd is committed to conducting business ethically, professionally and transparently. This policy ensures that personal interests, relationships or external activities do not improperly influence business decisions or professional responsibilities.
Scope
This policy applies to all directors, employees, contractors, consultants and anyone acting on behalf of cer Financial Ltd.
All individuals must identify and disclose any actual, potential or perceived conflict of interest.
What is a Conflict of Interest?
A conflict of interest occurs where personal interests, relationships or financial interests could influence, or appear to influence, an individual’s judgement or decisions at work.
Examples include:
- Personal relationships with clients, candidates, suppliers or colleagues that could affect business decisions.
- Financial interests in a client, supplier or competitor.
- Accepting gifts, hospitality or benefits that could influence decisions.
- Using confidential company, client or candidate information for personal gain.
Managing Conflicts
Any conflict of interest must be reported to the Managing Director or appropriate manager as soon as possible.
cer Financial Ltd will review disclosed conflicts and take appropriate steps, which may include restricting involvement in certain decisions, changing responsibilities or taking disciplinary action where required.
Recruitment Responsibilities
Employees must ensure that recruitment decisions, candidate recommendations and client relationships are managed fairly and professionally. Personal interests must not influence placement decisions or business activities.
Confidentiality
All employees and contractors must protect confidential company, client and candidate information and must not use it for personal benefit.
Review
This policy will be reviewed regularly to ensure it remains effective and reflects current UK legislation and business requirements.

All individuals covered by this policy are expected to understand their responsibility to disclose conflicts of interest and comply with the requirements of this policy.
