PROFILE:
Highly experienced in Investment Banking Operations and Risk Mgmt. I have covered a number of roles at a junior and senior level within Operations which has led me to successfully moving to Risk Mgmt. in January 2019.
I have been an Operational Risk Manager for 4 years, a lot of the skills learnt within Operations have been transferred across to my Risk Mgmt. role which has allowed me to further strengthen relation- ships across the firm. In addition, where there are different demands in my role, I have identified clear learning opportunities and worked on key areas for example, personal development, building new relationships and learning new processes within operational risk role. - Delivery, including review and challenge, of core elements of the framework, including Risk and Control Self-Assessment (“RCSA”), Key Risk Indicators (“KRIs”), risk event review, inherent and residual risk assessment, regular and ad hoc operational risk reporting for senior management and key governance committees, tolerance, scenario analysis, Capital, policies, and Mizuho Securities Co (“MHSC”) reporting requirements.

- Accurately forecast and relay the Banks Cash Positions across various currencies to the Repo & Treasury trading desk in a timely manner within the specified funding deadlines.
- Mizuho International trades in a wide range of products and this is highlighted in the number of accounts and currencies I deal with. Mizuho International trades in fifty different currencies including all the major currencies, I currently deal with over two hundred accounts in various locations worldwide on a daily basis.
- Reconcile all the external accounts accurately and in a timely manner.
- Be aware of, educate other staff on the impact that business activity has on the Bank’s cash positions.
- Report any unauthorised overdrafts to Senior Management and issue Third party claims/in- ternal costs in a proactive and timely manner.
- Prepare month end KPI financial reporting relating to Cash & Nostro Management and dis- tribute to Senior Management.
- Accurately calculate & report MHI’s credit line requirements vs. usage at Euroclear ensuring limits are not breached.
