PROFILE:

A dynamic, target driven and highly numerate professional with hunger for intellectual stimulation. I have a genuine interest and understanding of financial markets and business operations which I developed through my undergraduate degree.

Currently I am working in a Payment Analyst Testing role within a bank. This role has helped to develop my keen attention to detail and believe my knowledge of SWIFT Messaging systems, conducting UAT, SIT and regression testing.

In the future, I aspire to develop and progress, both professionals a personally in a role that I find challenging and stimulating. I would hope to contribute to the business by offering solutions to preexisting problems and help the business grow more efficiently.

Banking

Payment Test Analyst

  • Analysed and processed SWIFT payment transactions for the EMEA region, ensuring accuracy and compliance in manual and electronic payments using Montran GPS, E-Moneyger and Swift Alliance (SAA).
  • Conducted UAT testing throughout the ISO project from the QA environment, through to release Environment and right through to GO-LIVE. This was an extremely important part of testing to ensure the functionality of the Montran Payment system and ensuring the usability of the new system.
  • Producing test scripts, test cases for each of the branches in EMEA and ensuring the timely completion of these documents.
  • A large part of the testing process was inputting and replaying previous payment examples in MT format to then transform into MX messaging. Thoroughly inspecting each payment to ensure there were no discrepancies between MT and MX messaging. Then logging defects to the JIRA system for the vendors to go out and fix then once the fix is in place retest.
  • Implementing external software to use and co-align with existing internal processes as a means of seamlessly transforming MT messaging to MX messaging.
  • Responsible for payment creation, verifying and payment management through EMEA.
  • Worked alongside the Ops team lead to help verify the testing of scripts, from approving to releasing payments, with the use of payment replays and manual E - moneyer inputs.
  • Systematically updated the SAA database EMEA payment entries. Experience with a range different payment: domestics such as: SEPA, BACS/FPS and cross border payment schemes.
  • Managing workflows and processes in order to have each stage of the project from Development environment, QA and Release until go live completed in a timely manner.
  • Collaborated with data analysts and project managers throughout the ISO20022 project to help understand resolve testing issues. All defects where input into JIRA and retested when fixes were put in place.
  • Used external sources such as IR360 and Red Compass D1R tool converting MT to MX messaging format.
  • Helped train other Ops team members on to process the new ISO swift messages: PACS.008 and PACS.009, alongside completing training manuals for everyone.
  • Co-ordinated daily with the Project Management team and data analysts to ensure the new code had been in place in order for the retesting to be completed.
  • Identifying existing infrastructure and investigating where the gaps and limitations are and implementing these drawbacks so they could be input into the new infrastructure.
