PROFILE:

Commercially focused Chartered Accountant with over 10 years’ experience as a Senior Tax Professional delivering complex projects, providing strategic advice, and managing stakeholders of all levels. I have extensive experience with multinational clients on numerous high-pressure engagements and transactions whilst providing robust commercial recommendations. I have worked across a variety of industries, including secondments to the world’s largest inter-dealer brokerage and a global commercial real estate services & investment company to assist and consult the internal finance team as well as some of the largest family office/trusts based in the UK.   • Tax M&A due diligence reports for buy and sell side clients, most of which funds were derived from PE.
  • Tax Real Estate due diligence for buy and sell side for private clients, large corporates and trusts.
  • Audit work using IFRS, UK GAAP and US GAAP accounting standards. Technical areas examples include –

  • Delivered on projects - audits, deals accounting, structuring and tax advisory under high pressure deadlines.
  • Added value by identifying weaknesses in control functions whilst recommending and implementing controls in order to prevent errors.
  • Responsible for major wins to the firm including a £12.4m 5 year global contact.
  • Managed stakeholders at all levels, including FTSE100 clients, ensuring strong collaboration to deliver projects successfully.
  • Provided advisory services related to acquisitions and reorganisations of multinational companies to meet client objectives of preparing for transactions, meeting regulatory requirements and for tax purposes.
  • Produced and presented business development plans which led to increased client fees.
  • Priced projects using a variety of methods, including creation and manipulation of financial models.
  • Managed a 20+ client portfolio, including large key account clients, and routinely challenged Partners on fees and negotiated fees with clients.
  • Determined and evaluated the risk status of projects including AML, enhanced due diligence, KYC, relationship checks whilst syncing with Salesforce.
  • Delegated to juniors, monitored progress and provided continuous feedback tor development. Developed advanced skills and provided training to juniors.

Manager (secondment)

  • Managed a team of 10 PwC colleagues from Senior Associate to Senior Manager grade.
  • First point of contact for all global territories within the organisation and the board of directors in the US.
  • Conducted a first review audit for the Global group of companies SFS.
  • Provided key strategic recommendations regarding the development and testing of alternative delivery methods and managed stakeholders of all levels.
  • Analysed firm-wide end to end processes to establish opportunities for improvement as well as evaluation of business requirements.
  • Performed modelling and analysis to support decision-making for various stakeholders.
  • This was a xLoS project, assisted by tax, risk and the SFS team which generated £1.6m over a 6 week period.
  • Worked alongside three Senior Partners to secure a global contract to partner CBRE through year end managed service worth £12.4m over a 5 year period.
  • Nominated for an award as a result of the above and gained recognition across the firm for my effort and contribution in relation to the above.

August 2020 - June 2021

  • Managed a team of 5 juniors to conduct a client outreach project showcasing and onboarding multiple products to all clients of TP ICAP from FTSE 100 companies to PE fund managers.
  • Developed training materials for TP ICAP employees before the secondment came to an end.
  • Performed tasks as above and I was offered a permanent contract after receiving outstanding client feedback.

Senior Associate – Leverhulme Family Trust (placement)

  • Worked on the largest private client to the firm for 3+ years prior to the establishment of a family office function.
  • Assisted with all tax consulting projects and managed the tax compliance for individuals and trusts.
  • Worked with the investment advisory team and the tax technology team to develop an online platform showcasing the family wealth and investments whereby the trustees and beneficiaries could view remotely.
  • Facilitated workshops, developed training materials and delivered technical presentations with the aim to roll out the platform to other clients within the firm.
  • Received firmwide and xLoS recognition for the above.
