cer Financial are working alongside a well-established diverse European bank who are based in the City of London. They are seeking a Loan Syndicate & Sales Analyst to work with them on a permanent basis.
The Responsibilities of a Loan Syndicate & Sales Analyst Will Include:
· Management of team “information databases” - responsible for collating and accurate maintenance and updating of transaction databases (deal, pricing & structuring details) and other market information as required by the team.
· Research and collating of research/background “market” information to be distributed in a timely and efficient manner with appropriate comment as necessary.
· Preparation of various client presentations.
· Assist in preparation of SDP internal documents - submissions towards credit department, coordination of and preparation of “transaction committee “notes and other memoranda / reports as required.
· Documentation to include trade confirmations, transfer documentation, pricing letters.
· Liaison with external counterparties and agents, and internal operations, documentation and booking offices.
· Liaison with the operations departments to ensure correct reflection of exposures on the bank’s systems, correct recognition of SDP’s income and the correct payment/receipt of income upon the transfer of assets.
· Progression towards management and execution of primary syndication process including - drafting invitation letters, preparation of liquidity analysis, preparation and setting up of electronic distribution platform; progression towards bookrunning - sale of loan transactions & underlying credits to assigned target investors, allocations & fee calculations.
· Progression towards investor Coverage / market coverage and recording - management of allocated investor base with any allocated investors; manage and maintain updated market knowledge of investor appetites and trends etc. on team databases.
The Successful Loan Syndicate & Sales Analyst Will Have:
· Strong IT skills are sought - you will have excellent working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint & Excel; some familiarity / knowledge of systems used in the loan markets to facilitate performance and efficiency, - e.g., Debt domain, Loan Connector, Dealogic Loan Analytics, Bloomberg - would be a “nice to have” but not a prerequisite.
· You will have recently graduated or might have 1-2 years working experience / exposure to a banking environment.
· Some loan product knowledge and/or some familiarity with Loan Market Association primary & secondary loan documentation as well as general market practices is an advantage.
