Technical IT Analyst

We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to join my client on a contract role that will last into 2026. The incumbent will have experience in analysing, designing and the delivery of functional, technical, process and data specifications, models, mappings, and transformation rules for Risk Management technology solutions.

Duties:

  • The Technical Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing technical solutions to support the organization's IT infrastructure and business processes.
  • This role involves working closely with various stakeholders to understand their technical needs and providing detailed analysis and recommendations.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical analysis, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • An ideal candidate would have recently delivered these capabilities in another bank or similar regulated organisation within financial services.
  • The candidate is expected to design and deliver end to end business process, applications and information architecture solutions integrating legacy, tactical and strategic components.
  • Experience with On prem, On Cloud, Hybrid, Azure Integration, Databricks, SQL Server, Oracle, XML, Python, Power Apps, BAIS, Digital Workflow, Process Orchestration, BPMN, ECB Risk & Finance Data Model is highly desirable for this role.

Background

  • The ideal candidate is expected to have an understanding of banking products and the relevant related financial instruments.
  • Technical Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of technical requirements and provide recommendations for solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of technical specifications, system configurations, and process flows.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with business leaders, IT teams, and other stakeholders to gather and understand technical requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
  • System Design: Assist in the design and implementation of IT systems and applications, ensuring they meet technical and business requirements.
  • Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans to ensure the functionality and performance of IT systems and applications.
  • Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IT systems and applications, resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Drives specific technology endeavours that relate to the banks Midterm strategy.
  • Works autonomously, steering the project through issues but maintaining an open Dialogue with management and escalating as appropriate.
  • Attends project meetings, steering committees, workshops, etc.

  • Works effectively across regulatory, geographic and cultural boundaries throughout the EMEA region
  • Solution Design: Develop and design technical solutions that meet business requirements and align with the organization's IT strategy.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of solution architectures, including system diagrams, data flow diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, IT teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet their needs.
  • Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools that can enhance the organization's solutions and overall IT landscape.
  • Standards and Best Practices: Establish and enforce solution architecture standards and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
  • Project Support: Provide architectural guidance and support for IT projects, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with the overall IT strategy.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with solution architectures, ensuring the security and reliability of IT systems.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent working experience.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum of [5] years of experience in solution architecture, with a proven track record of designing and implementing technical solutions.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in architectural frameworks, cloud computing, software development, and cybersecurity.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar are preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Agile framework; JIRA & Confluence expertise
  • Knowledge of front-to-back-office business processes and an understanding of technology interfaces with business processes and products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate appropriate, concise, and accurate information.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, in particular service orientation, organisational awareness, and people empathy.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to operate sensitively and effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Results driven, with a strong sense of accountability.
  • The ability to manage large workloads and tight deadlines.
  • The ability to operate with urgency and prioritise work accordingly.
