The Role
Our client’s Advisory Tax services provide market leading services to both Financial and Corporate investors. They have teams focused on clients in three core performance groups: Financial Services, Corporates and National Markets.
- Financial Services: Our client works with PE, infrastructure, and real estate funds as well as institutional investors such as sovereign wealth funds and pension funds. Clients have UK, European and Global investment strategies.
- Corporates: Our client collaborates with FTSE 100 and 250 businesses, supporting them with strategic acquisitions, carve outs, de-mergers, disposals, and joint ventures both in the UK and cross-border.
- National Markets: They work across the UK with mid-market corporates and Private Equity funds, looking to invest across key UK sectors to grow their local economies.
My client’s Deal Advisory Tax team is a dept in providing advisory services across the whole deal spectrum including buy-side due diligence and structuring, sell-side vendor assist and vendor due diligence, refinancing and listing support. Deal sizes range between £10m to +£10bn – they work with a range of clients and on a tranche of deals - helping clients to grasp historical tax issues and structure transactions, with a continuous focus on maximising value throughout the investment cycle.
Key Responsibilities – experience with the following:
- Work closely with senior stakeholders on complex transactions to deliver first-class advice and service
- Support new business opportunities, working on proposals and joining tenders.
- Develop and maintain robust client relationships alongside Deal Advisory
- Act as the client-facing contact for clients, legal advisers, and other teams to facilitate effective delivery
- Assisting in preparing/ overseeing detailed technical advice covering a range of UK and international tax issues
- Perform/ oversee detailed analysis of tax related documents/ data, highlighting key issues and articulating the commercial impact of these to the client
- Communicating with other UK and overseas tax specialists, offering critical analysis and challenging their input
- You will possess demonstrable up-to-date tax technical knowledge in regards to key UK and OECD developments
- Understanding tax financial models
- Input on Deal Advisory Tax thought leadership
The Person
- Qualified CTA/CPA or ACCA/CIMA/ACA/ CA or equivalent
- Strong UK corporate tax knowledge and awareness of other tax and accounting matters
- Strong analytical skills, curious and a commercial approach to resolving issues and providing advice
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint knowledge
