cer Financial are working alongside an international bank who are based in the City of London. They are seeking a Trade Relationship Officer to work with them on a permanent basis.
The responsibilities of the Trade Relationship Officer will include:
- Engage directly with Chinese exporters to facilitate new transactions.
- Monitor business activity related to Chinese exporters and proactively follow up to generate new opportunities.
- Liaise with the Bank’s correspondent banks in China to strengthen relationships and support business development.
- Provide MI and insights on business activity involving China.
- Support marketing efforts for trade finance business across other Asian markets as required.
- Assist the Trade Finance team with back-office operations where necessary.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments, offices and branches (both in the UK and externally) to ensure the delivery of first-class, commercially focused service while adhering to best practice, regulatory requirements and statutory obligations.
- Stay informed about current regulations impacting banking and financial services.
The successful Trade Relationship Officer will have:
- Fluent in Mandarin and a graduate degree are essential.
- Relevant operational experience in a Trade Finance Department, preferably 3-5.
- Strong knowledge of Letters of Credit and UCP rules, with CDCS qualifications being an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
