Data Analytics Governance Analyst

£405 - £690 per day (via Umbrella)
cer Financial are working alongside a great mid tier international bank, who are based in London. They are seeking an Data Analytics Governance Analyst to work with them on a contract.
The responsibilities will include:
- Champion Data Analytics Governance standards and best practices.
- Ensure consistent governance across analytics artefacts throughout their lifecycle.
- Identify and classify Key Data Users and EUCs across EMEA.
- Conduct gap analyses against policies and procedures.
- Agree and track remediation actions with KDU/EUC owners.
- Maintain the KDU and EUC catalogue and required metadata.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (including BCBS239).
- Keep governance inventories accurate and up to date.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across all organisational levels.
- Support bank-wide data governance initiatives and forums.
- Produce regular reports, project updates, and respond to ad hoc information requests.
The candidate will have:
- Experience establishing Analytics or EUC Governance frameworks.
- Knowledge of BCBS239 and financial services regulatory requirements (ECB experience desirable).
- Experience with governance and cataloguing tools (e.g. Collibra, Apparity).
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and coaching skills.
- Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and the analytics SDLC.
- Experience with analytics platforms and governance tools.
- Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Understanding of data governance, data management, and data lineage.
- Experience enabling enterprise self-service analytics.
- Knowledge of data-related regulatory requirements.
